This is the shorter version of my bar hopping tour. Let's experience nightlife places in Sendai in two hours.
There are variety of small bars and restaurants in back alleys usually only locals go. I'm going to take you to two bars in unique alleys in Sendai.
I can choose bars depend on your preference and budget.
Do you know Japan has a unique drinking culture? I will show you it!

At the last bar
you can enjoy the nightlife like locals with sake and local food!
We visit some unique back alleys called Iroha alley and bunka alley.
these narrow alleys have more than 100 small stores, bars and restaurants and keep atmosphere of old japan.
most of bars are very small and usually only locals go to those bars.
This tour is so fun because it can show a part of Japanese people's daily life!
I love sake and will provide some great conversation and company! It would be nice to discuss many topics like my region, Japanese culture and tradition over a cup of sake!

I appreciate your understanding.
I had a wonderful tour of 3 hours plus with Mai in Sendai, her hometown. Mai spoke excellent English and was extremely knowledgeable about local landmarks, the major religions and local history. She is a lovely person and I enjoyed getting to know her. After the tour I contacted her and asked for restaurant recommendations in Yamagata and she texted me some wonderful options. I would highly recommend Mai for any tours in the area.
Matsushima is a must see if you are in Tohoku and Mai is an excellent guide to explore everything it has to offer. She is thoughtful and kind and everything went very smoothly. We even got to use the 1st class deck of the cruise ship for free. Her passion for the Tohoku region is infectious and she was able to recommend many other places of interest. She can provide the history of the area and background on its culture. We were lucky to have such wonderful weather too which always helps! Thank you Mai for your company during my time in Sendai on both day trips.
I had an excellent day exploring Yamadera with Mai. She was very knowledgeable and organised and the day trip was very enjoyable. She was generous with her time and we even managed to fit in an extra stop at Rinnoji once back in Sendai. I would highly recommend spending your time in Yamadera with Mai. There is no substitute for a local guide.
Mai and I had a great time in the mountains, where we did a hike through Omoshiroyama and then walked to Yamadera and did the temple steps climb. She was super fun to talk to. I would absolutely recommend her.
