Sado Outdoor Base Officially opened!

How have you been for these 2 years?  I guess many of you have been bored to stay home or in limited areas for so long!

Are you still interested in visiting Sado Island, Niigata Prefecture in Japan?

Then, I have a good news for you.

"Sado outdoor Base" has just opened recently for tourists eager to enjoy outdoor activities here.

It's conveniently located, about 200m, from Ryotsu port.

There are rental goods for trekking, kayaking and biking and you can decide what to do on the spot without any equipments prepared! Japanese speaking guides are available,too.

Inside is quite spacious and cool isn't it?

 

The nearest place for kayaking is Lake Kamo, about 5 minutes by car.

Lake Kamo is the largest lake in Niigata and it's brakish and has oyster beds.

 Please enjoy kayaking with these boats on the lake with the majestic big Sado mountain range in the background.

Now you are all sweaty and need to be refreshed.

Shower room is available for 500 yen!   Very attentive service.

 

 

Oh, you are interested in biking?  With your little kids?

 How about renting this bike with a baby carriage connected?

 

Several types of bikes are beautifully displayed.

 

After the activities, you can relax with some beverages inside the shop.

 

 

Voila!  "Matte Dekkei hamburger"!  Looks so delicious, right?

I know you are super hungry now and it's a piece of cake, no hamburger, for you to eat up!

FYI, Matte means "very" and Dekkei means "big" in Sado dialect.  Now you understand the naming of the burger:)
